Redfish Dyeworks Custom Dyed Silk
We collaborated with our friends at Redfish Dyeworks to come up with these delicious combinations. We began carrying Linen 14 earlier this year. When sampling we realized our favorite combination was Linen 14 with 30/2 silk. The scarf shown uses Linen 14 in Denim with Redfish dyed 30/2 silk from Tracy's stash. The darker stripes are Venne Colcolastic #4006/navy. The hand is really light and lovely!
There are no instructions with these kits - you can choose your own weave structure and go for it! Our scarf sample was woven in an 8 shaft crepe weave. There is enough Linen for a 4 yard warp/10" wide/ 28 - 30 epi. and 2 - 50 gram skeins of silk. For the shawl kits there is double the linen and silk.
These are limited, we won't get these colors again.
Below are the color names and colors in Linen 14 that work well with each colorway. You can of course combine your silk with other fibers so we are selling some skeins of 30/2 without linen.
We also received all 6 colorways in 20/2 silk, these are sold by the skein only.
20/2 - 50 gram skein = approx. 420 yards
30/2 - 50 gram skein = approx. 740 yards
Listed below are the colorways and Linen 14 colors that work well with them:
LS - 6 - Painted Desert - #870/Lavender; #139/Tin
LS- 7 - Canyonlands - #47/Charcoal; #169 Burlap; #179 Flax; #151 Penny
LS-9 - Glacier Bay - #14/Teal; #47/Charcoal; #139/Tin
