The combination of merino wool and mercerized cotton yarn in both the warp and weft produce a wonderfully textured 3 - dimensional scarf. This Lunatic Fringe kit uses 4 colors of 10/2 mercerized cotton, and one color of a fine merino wool. The wool shrinks more than the cotton during finishing, and creates a bumpy, textural scarf that is light and soft.
There is enough yarn for two scarves - make one scarf as a gift, and keep the second one for yourself. The finished size of each scarf is approximately 8” x 59” plus 4” fringe on either end. Difficulty level is Intermediate to Advanced.
