Core-spun yarn bump - Alpaca and BFL
Core-spun yarn is made from short wool fibers that are spun around a cotton core to produce an interesting thick, bulky yarn that is perfect for rug weaving.
One pound of a corespun yarn will weave 1 foot at a 30" weaving width. A 4' rug would take about 4 lbs. Recommended warp sett is 4 - 6 epi.
We have two types of corespun bumbs: alpaca in solid colors of brown, gray, or cream; and bluefaced leicester with natural colors from black, gray, and light tones.
The alpaca is super-soft!
The alplaca and sheep are all of raised with care locally in Illinois.
Unfortunately the core-spun is not eligible for the bulk discount.
