We've long wished (and searched) for a high quality fine linen in colors - now we've got it - woo hoo! This lovely linen is soft and supple and the colors are luscious! Made by Silk City Fibers, Linen 14 has 7,000 yards per pound - which equates to approximately a 46/2 linen. It will work well with our 35/2 linen or 16/1 linen from Bockens. It is soft enough that it could be combined with a fine silk or cotton for scarves or yardage. I can't wait to try it.
The best flax fiber is grown in France and Belgium, Linen 14 flax is from France and was spun in China.
The cones vary in weight - 16oz - 20oz, and most cones weigh 18 ounces.
Sample cards are available - we do not carry all colors - if the color you want is not listed just ask and we will order it for you.
